Graduate Communication and Multimedia Designer
26 years ago, on and early summer morning, I was born on the 7th of august at 06:04 at Havenziekenhuis in Rotterdam. Although the day began with crying, quickly after I started to smile and love to smile.
Creativity, the love for music and being able to be yourself, were the basics of my youth and upbringing. Because of this I got all the space to develop my creativity. I had to use all this creativity, so my journey to find my calling began. I did an audition at the Pop-Academy and multiple artschools, but this didn't spark with my personality. I thought I really wanted to work with my hands, design and create. This brought me to a school for woodworking and making furniture. At the same Hout- en Meubileringscollege in Rotterdam I also did some interior designing. I really loved working with my hands, but I had to look further.
After a new oriëntation I went to the Hague School of Applied Siences. When I applied for Communication and Multimedia Design I knew this was it. Throughout my education I could evolve on technical and creative level. Now, as an graduated alumni of a Bachelor degree in Communication and Multimedia Design, I find a lot of joy in User Experience Design.
Next to designing beautiful inspiring websites, I developed a big interest for Graphic Design. Also privately I am looking for new possibilities to use my creativity and learn new things. My creative stream of thoughts is continuously present. It's a challenge to structure these thoughts, but within the Interaction Design field I can express and structure these pretty well. Throughout the internships, that I got to do in my education, I have discovered how I can match my creativity with my personality. I present the best in teamwork. When working in a team I get motivated to create something beautiful. I'm eager to learn and prefer constructive criticism. I learn form my mistakes, but the positive feedback on the right steps are necessary to evolve. I find it fun to brainstorm with other people and create new concepts together. For me, it is important that the company where I get to work in the future has social cohesion and gives me the time to grow. Within such an environment I see myself working with great pleasure and achieving the best performance.
